school and university levels in Metro Manila
schools - on a regular basis. More than 100 schools
visited since PAWS' reorganization in
1986.

Conducts the DOCTOR DOG (Animal-assisted therapy)
PROGRAM in hospitals, schools and institutions.
Over 50 visits clocked in by volunteer humans and
therapy animals since Program was introduced in the
country in 1998.

More than 200 animals rehomed since its animal
shelter (PARC) was opened in 2001.

More than 300 dogs and cats neutered since
spay-neuter clinic was opened in 2004. Offered the
first SPAY DAY to the Filipino public in
2004.

animal-welfare information
center - that renders service
to the public Mondays to
Saturdays 10am to 5pm. Shelter
runs purely on donations and
through its own fundraising
events, and does not receive

on scholarship from Humane
Society

Organized the first ASIA for ANIMALS Conference in
Manila together with HSUS, IFAW and
SPCA-HK.

The only local animal welfare group associated with
all these three international animal welfare groups
based in different countries: HSUS (United States),
RSPCA (Britain)and ANIMALS ASIA FOUNDATION (China,
Hongkong).
